Remembrance Day Poppy Run

On Wednesday 11th November, Llantwit Major Milers organised a Remembrance Day Poppy Run.

Many club members, family and friends assembled from 10:45am to take part in a 2 minute silence at 11am.

A wooden poppy medal was hung from the railings in front of the war memorial as a tribute to those who had fought and died in the line of duty.

The 2 minute silence was followed by 23 runners taking part in an out & back run from Llantwit Major to Llanmaes & Sigingstone.

The clubs poppy medals were handmade and designed by the Run Leader team and raised approximately £200 for the Royal British Legion poppy Appeal.
